Overview
Hire Resolve's client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join their company in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the international logistics industry, with a focus on the fast-moving consumer goods sector.
Responsibilities:
Acquire new business with a focus on Medium, Large, Multinational and Global accounts.
Manage and report on the client's profitability, revenue, and YOY numbers.
Primary role is to prospect, develop, and manage new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and identifying potential new business.
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless delivery of services and customer satisfaction.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify market opportunities and threats.
Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote our services.
Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 to 10 years Sales Experience, preferably in the 3/4 PL and/or Freight Forwarding Industry.
Proven track record in Freight Forwarding, Clearing, Contract Logistics and/or 3/4 PL.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics processes.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
