Duties and Responsibilities Fleet Maintenance ReportTyre inspectionFuel vehicle checksFuel queriesBuying of vehicle sparesCurtain/Panel maintenance checksWindscreen repairs and replacementsForklift weekly checklistsForklift maintenance schedulesBooking of vehicle servicesVehicle internal hygiene checksFollowing up on road-worthy and licensesReporting of all malfunctions on vehiclesEnsuring that inhouse mechanic is pushing out work standing in the workshopSpeeding reports to be followed for issuing of speeding finesMonitoring of vehicle mileages to advise on anomaliesFollowing up on all outstanding parts/maintenance that needs to be carried outChecking of tail-lifts for any noticeable issued to ensure that there is no down time.Monitor and control packaging material – pallets, cages, bike cages. This covers movement and maintenance.Monitor and control tyres and managementMonitor and control material handling equipment – pallet jacks (JHB branch)Monitor and control waste disposal – wood, plastic, metalMonitor and control forklift dieselJob Requirements Grade 12 CertificateProficient in all Microsoft Office applicationsVehicle knowledge and at least 1 year working mechanical experienceProven experience in the logistics industryAttention to detailResponsible & punctualMust have 3 – 5 years' experienceExcellent telephonic and Communication SkillsAble to work under pressure and meet deadlinesProblem Solving SkillsStrong organisational and planning skillsMust have own transport
