Fleet Supervisor

To oversee the day-to-day operations of the MIT fleet, ensuring staff are well managed, and the vehicles are running smoothly and efficiently, costs are minimized, and company assets are maintained effectively.Job Objectives:Reporting and Analysis of trip costs, vehicle usage, route viabilityAnnual Budget preparation and monitoringEmployee Management (performance reviews, work allocation, discipline, etc.)Management of computerized fleet tracking systems (fuel and satellite tracking)Ensuring the fleet expenses are on trackEnsuring fleet risk is minimized and insurance requirements maintainedEnsuring vehicles are appropriately maintained in good working orderRenewal of licensing annuallyPurchase of tyres/replacement parts/batteriesRequisition, issue, and control of Petty Cash for the fleet departmentQualifications and Experience:Matric (with Maths)Diploma in LogisticsDrivers Licence (Code 10)Five-plus years logistics management experienceFive-plus years fleet management experienceThree-plus years Word and Excel experienceThree-plus years Employee Management experienceComputer literateOne-plus years SAP experienceVehicle tracking software experience (beneficial)Strong Numerical abilityBasic Mechanical knowledgeAbility to multitask and prioritizeStrong problem-solving ability and attention to detailGood written and oral communication skillsSkills, Abilities and Job-related Knowledge:Leadership abilityInterpersonal skillsIntegrity and ethicsProfessionalismReliabilityReading data
