QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: Matric (Grade 12)2 years minimum fleet control experience advantageousPrevious experience in a similar fleet environment would be advantageousJOB REQUIREMENTS & OTHER ATTRIBUTES: Computer Literate (MS Office, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Internet)Valid driver's licenseMust have basic background on vehicles maintenance – service intervalsNegotiation skillsSound knowledge of fleet market trendsAnalytical, systematic and detailed would be advantageous attributesUpkeep of vehicle imageCOMPETENCIES (TECHNICAL & BEHAVIOURAL): Attention to detailCommunication skillsDrive for resultsSafety awarenessPlanning and executionDeadline orientedStress toleranceRESPONSIBILITIES: Carry out weekly inspections of company vehiclesCarry out daily maintenance from vehicle check sheetsPerform light maintenance and immediate service tasks to vehicles at inspectionReport damages and abuseUpdate refuelling list on a daily basis every morningFiling of vehicle checksPrepare vehicles that need to go in for service or panel beatingFerry vehicles to and from suppliers, garages and workshopsLiaise with suppliers to perform the immediate task at handDevelop and maintain sound working relationships with suppliersKeep records of maintenance tasks and purchases in writing and on computerBe present at all times when vehicle tracking is installed on the vehiclesInform the Regional Manager of all accidents within 24 hoursComplete the re-fuelling spreadsheet daily in order to monitor services due on vehiclesEnsure that vehicles are serviced within the parameters provided by the OEM'sEffective management of tyre resources
