Key requirementMatric/Grade 12 with a minimum of 3 years experience in Logistics environment Tertiary qualification in Logistics with a minimum of 2 year's relevant experienceProven experience in fleet management including supervisory or managerial experienceKnowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards and best practicesStrong knowledge of relevant computer systems and software programs, GPS tracking systemsStrong organizational and problem solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with drivers, clients and other stakeholdersAbility to work under pressure and make decisions in time-sensitive situationsA valid driver's license and the ability to occasionally travel to various locations as neededAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesKey responsibilityStock management-oversee and coordinate the completed client tombstone components for installations.
Pre-pack installation consumables and accessories for all installationsDispatch and coordination: coordinate and communicate with drivers to ensure timely pickups and installationsRespond to driver inquiries and address any on-the-road issues promptlyAssign tasks and schedules to drives based on priorities and customer requirementsRoute optimization-plan and optimize vehicle routes to minimize fuel consumption, reduce transit times and improve delivery efficiency.
Use route planning software and GPS tracking systems to monitor vehicle movements in real-timeVehicle tracking-receive and upload daily routes for each vehicle onto the tracking system based on the fitting schedule provided by factory managersMaintain good client communication
