DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A Fleet Controller is tasked with the direct management and control of fleet movement, along with overseeing associated tasks that contribute to enhancing fleet efficienciesUphold Pedros People values, especially with new hiresEnsure completion of check sheets and Truck wash documentation by the SupervisorManage Fuel, Daily Mileages, and reconcile Fuel slips against Engen EDC reportsDocument Toll Slips and escalate Fuel Consumption figures as needed.Reconcile Target Kilometres vs. actual kilometres, promptly escalating anomaliesCompile and dispatch Daily Logistics Report according to SOPEnsure Fleet Attendants complete check sheets for each vehicleVerify Truck Cameras' functionality, promptly escalate nonconformancesEnsure C-Track functions correctly with accurate parametersManage Fleet R&M Status Report and compile Monthly Mileage verificationMaintain adequate stock of Truck Wash ChemicalsSupervise Tyre Check Sheet completion, Hino Clutch Adjustment, and Vehicle InspectionsPromptly escalate vehicle faults, oversee maintenance work, and manage vouchers for long-distance trips. Additionally, monitor Fuel & Toll CardRegister, conduct weekly audits, and ensure timely communication of dispatch delays while monitoring offloading times at storesFleet Management SoftwareGPS SystemsSOP ImplementationTelematics and data analysisMaintenance knowledgeFuel managementSafety protocolsREQUIREMENTS: MatricA bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field may be beneficialSeveral years of experience in a logistics or transportation-related role, with progressively increasing responsibilitiesDirect experience in fleet management, including overseeing the maintenance, scheduling, and optimization of a diverse fleet of vehiclesOrganisational and time management skills
