We require a dynamic, proactive Transport Operations Controller to join their Cape Town team with a positive mindset, disciplined and self-motivated disposition.Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Assist with manifesting and planning vehicles out of the regionAssist with all local movements and port operationsAssist with the daily briefing and debriefing of driversIdentify logistical challenges and implement solutionsProvide feedback to management regarding all operational mattersCollect drivers arriving/delivering in the regionDrop off drivers at collection points within the regionPlanning of pilot routes in line with collection/delivery of driversManagement of fleet vehicles in the regionEstablish and maintain good working relationships within the organisationAdhere to company Policies and ProceduresData Capturing & record keepingQualifications and Skills:Grade 12/MatricMinimum 3 years relevant experienceCode 14 with PdPWilling to work outside of normal work hoursFully conversant in Microsoft Excel and WordConversant with QSA Financial Program to create purchase ordersExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishReflect leadership abilitiesWilling to travel and work out of town for short periodsAbility to work under pressureTime management skillsStress management skillsTeam building skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsDecision making skillsA propensity toward learning and acquiring new skills (the learning never stops).A positive mindset that allows one to thrive under trying circumstances (long hours, severe time pressure, etc.).Discipline and self-motivation to produce results even when not under supervision
