Fixed Asset Accountant

Primary Purpose Responsible for all accounting functions related to Fixed Assets within Bidvest Bank and its subsidiaries.


Minimum Requirements Qualifications

• B. Com. Accounting or related

Experience

• 1 year experience in Industry in similar capacity will be advantageous.

Knowledge and experience of Accounting Practices and Principles.Knowledge of relevant Legislation, Principles, Accounting processes.Internal Audit Policies and Procedures.Financial acumen.Integrity.Attention to detail.Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications.Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.Deadline driven Duties and Responsibilities FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT


Accurate allocation and monitoring of actual spend against budget with regards to fixed assets in line with finance processes and procedures.Assist with compilation of Capex budget.Responsible for preparation and processing of month end journals and committed assets CUSTOMER CENTRICITY

Ensure cost centre/department disposals and asset transfers are processed timeously as per approved processes and procedures.Responsible for regular communication to other departments and branches throughout the year.Ensure CAPEX approvals are obtained from branches and all other department and all relevant documentation is up to date.Render an advisory service to clients on correct processes and procedures to follow with regards to fixed assets. OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

Conduct quarterly asset verifications across the Bank.Monitor receipt and filing of all relevant documentation.Participate in ad-hoc projects identified by Bank, when necessary.Ensure accounting input is provided prior to implementation of new system. LEARNING AND GROWTH
