Fitter And Turner

Requirements & Duties: Perform the full function of a Fitter & Turner in the Maintenance department.
The incumbent will not only be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all abattoir floor equipment but also be responsible for carrying out planned and breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical equipment.
Candidate should have a trade, with at least 3 years' experience within the FMCG environment.
Diagnose faults on plant and equipment to determine the faults and carry out repairs required.
Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment.
Assist units with maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health Safety Act.
Provide technical support to all staff.
