JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are the key responsibilities associated with this role:
Book reservations for all Touring services requested by both internal and external clients.
Provide quotations and convert private charter requests within the required turnaround time.
Ensure that preferred suppliers offer the best rates for all bookings.
Manage allocated bookings in Tourplan.
Take charge of managing allocated client Touring suppliers.
Ensure that pre-, during-, and post-tour procedures are strictly adhered to as per client Touring standards.
Monitor group numbers and manage specific Scheduled Tour departures and supplier allocations.
Keep in touch with tour guides throughout Scheduled Tours and Private charters.
Manage payments and account queries with suppliers and local agents.
Handle cancellations, client complaints, and emergencies.
Monitor profitability of specific Scheduled Tours on a weekly basis.
Work closely with the product development, sales and marketing teams when required.
Manage personal and shared team MS Outlook mailboxes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Matric / Grade 12
A Travel & Tourism qualification would be preferable.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
At least 7 years of group series and FIT experience.
Essential working knowledge of Tourplan.
Excellent knowledge of South Africa, including tourist attractions, seasonality, routes, distances and driving times, places of interest, geography, and transport infrastructure.
REQUIRED SKILLS
