Key responsibilities Plan, execute and supervise mechanical engineering design activities in collaboration with other engineering disciplines (process, civil, structural and electrical).Write and compile tender documents (design specifications and schedules of quantities).Evaluate Contractor's tender submissions and write tender reports.Administer contracts (generally based on FIDIC and GCC Conditions of Contract).Supervise, review and approve Contractor's detail designs and confirm compliance.Perform fabrication and installation inspections.Conduct equipment commissioning tests.Mentor and train young mechanical engineers and technologists.Minimum Requirements: BSc/MSc, B Eng / M Eng.Minimum of 7-8 years' experience in the Planning, Design, Implementation and Commissioning of Mechanical Systems.Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA Registered).Experience in the engineering consulting sector (water) including water and wastewater treatment.Experience in contract management/administration will be advantageous.Committed and high work ethic.Strong time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously (prioritization and multi-tasking).Eager to consider new technologies and systems.Willingness to travel.Valid Code EB driver's license.We believe that a diverse workforce is key to our business success.
