We are seeking a qualified Senior Auditor to join our government audit team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting financial and compliance audits of government agencies, departments, and programs. The successful candidate will ensure that government resources are used efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the audit team and audit engagementsConduct visits to the offices of our clientsConduct financial and compliance audits of various clients, agencies, departments, and programsReview financial statements, records, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and regulationsAnalyze and evaluate internal controls to identify weaknesses and areas for improvementPrepare audit reports detailing findings and recommendations for corrective actionCommunicate audit results and recommendations to management and stakeholdersMonitor the implementation of corrective actions to ensure compliance with audit findingsKeep abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and accounting standardsMinimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related fieldCA(SA) requiredMinimum of 3-4 years of experience in auditingKnowledge of accounting principles and auditing standardsProfessional and presentableStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in attention to detailExcellent leadership skills with strong delegation and project management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with team members and clientsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)Familiarity with accounting (ERP systems) and audit softwareUnderstanding of government regulations and compliance requirements (advantageous)Benefits: 15 days PTO + 10 paid study leave daysAnnual CA(SA) SAICA fee coveredDiscretionary bonusesInternational business exposure (offices across seven countries)Exposure to auditing American state and local governments under the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB)Stimulating, fast-paced work environment with structured opportunities for professional growth/developmentMentoring by Senior LeadershipWhy CKH is the best choice?
