SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER / SYSTEM ENGINEER: Military Vehicle / Automotive Engineer Location: Midrand
An experienced Electrical / Electronic engineer is required to perform design and system engineering activities within the Military Automotive design and manufacturing field.
Qualifications and Experience Required: BEng / BTech in Electronic Engineering, or Electrical / Electronic Engineering5-15 years of design experience in the military Automotive fieldUnigraphics or other 3D CAD experienceSiemens Team Centre 11 or relevant PDM system experienceNo criminal recordSouth African CitizenResponsibilities: Electrical design aspects of vehiclesGenerate user requirements and design specificationsCompliance testing (Environmental and EMC) and compile test reportsAcceptance of test documentation and procedures for the complete electrical systemEstablish new electrical suppliers and manufacturers, and assist with manufacturing processes, BOMs, test equipment, and quality assurance processesDesign electrical system architecture and conceptsSelect components and design man-machine interfaceResolve problematic fielded systems (local and international)Project engineeringProvide technical support to internal departments and suppliersContribute to the company's Continuous Improvement InitiativesDesign new and innovative sub-systems and componentsMentor design engineers and generate
