Job description: The main purpose of this position is to manage the entire underwriting policy process for clients including understanding the client's needs, identifying, proposing, effectively implementing the insurance solution, and managing the future needs of the client. Herewith also a list of the key responsibilities of this role:
Key Responsibilities:Understand client's insurance needsDetermine and propose appropriate insurance solutions by way of quote/s and detailed explanation of coverEnsure client understands terms of coverEnsure client complies with meeting obligations in terms of providing sufficient information to conclude the underwriting process effectivelyEnsure client provides supporting documentation where identified as necessary e.g. jewellery valuations, car registration certificates, etc.Policy Management:Convert quotes to new business policiesEnsure policies endorsed as required by clientsUndertake policy renewal process annuallyEnsure policy cover maintains pace with client's needsClient Information:Record all information received from or in respect of the client on the databaseRecord all communication with the client on the database detailing specifics to allow easy retrieval of information when required e.g. telephone call recordingsCompliance & Legislation:Adhere to FICA requirementsAdhere to FAIS General Code of Conduct requirements
