Managing Director My client, a leader in the FMCG space with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and community impact, is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join their team as Managing Director.
Location: Durban, South Africa
Industry: FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods)
Reporting to: Board of Directors
The Managing Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to drive the company's growth and profitability. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the business operations, including sales, marketing, finance, operations, and human resources. They will lead a dedicated team, foster a culture of excellence and innovation, and ensure the company remains at the forefront of the FMCG industry.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company objectives and targets.Provide leadership and direction to department heads to ensure effective coordination and execution of business strategies.Drive sales growth through innovative marketing strategies, product development, and market expansion initiatives.Oversee financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management to optimize profitability.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and sustainability across the organization.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and talent development.Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, industry standards, and ethical practices.Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.Proven track record of at least 10 years in senior leadership roles within the FMCG industry.Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to drive results, inspire teams, and lead change initiatives.Experience in managing P&L, budgets, and financial performance.Deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitive landscape.Passion for innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility.Should you meet the required skills, please respond to this advert.
