Goodwood Jubilee Memorial Homes comprises of both Protea Home for the Elderly and Goodwood Jubilee Retirement Centre. Goodwood Jubilee Memorial Homes currently has an opportunity for an experienced and skilled Manager and Board Member to join their team and manage both homes.
The successful candidate will report to the Chairperson of the Board and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a team, have a love and passion for the elderly and be able to build strong, trusting relationships.
Key responsibilities: Reporting to Board of DirectorsManaging the Protea Home for the ElderlyManaging the Goodwood Jubilee Retirement CentreAdministrative tasksOverseeing the maintenance tasks of both homesFinancial tasksManaging reporteesRequirements: Appropriate tertiary qualification related to general management, personnel management and financial managementRelevant experience in a similar position (minimum of 3-5 years)Management and leadership experience (minimum of 3-5 years)Knowledge and experience regarding the law for elderly care and minimum norms and standards for elderly careKnowledge and experience of occupational health and safety legislationKnowledge and experience regarding death accompaniment will be beneficialHigh levels of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skillsGood time management, planning and organising skillsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to think and act innovativeComputer literacy and good typing skillsAbility to work independentlyDriver's license and own transport (code 8)Conflict management skillsStrategic and analytical thinking abilitiesA market-related salary structure will be negotiated based on qualifications, skills and experience.
