Description: My client, a long-established managed service provider, is looking to add an experienced Business Analyst to their team. The purpose of the Business Analyst is to design how customers use products and to implement changes to those products. The role combines aspects of both a business analyst and systems analyst.
Role Responsibilities: Gather requirementsIdentify, qualify and document functional and non-functional requirementsDocument the requirements using the most appropriate technique for the change (e.g., Requirements, User Stories, Diagrams)Design SolutionsDevelop the business requirements into a functional solutionAgree on the use cases to be supported and their inputs and outputsWork with 3rd parties to agree on interfacesDefine the user experienceEnable the business and operational implementation of the changeDocument the business logic to be converted into codeProduce High Level DefinitionsScope the end-to-end solution for new implementationsDefine the interactions with 3rd partiesAgree on the high-level use cases to be supportedDevelop Business ProcessesDesign and map the business and operational processes required to support the solutionSupport Project DeliveryProvide input and support to development, test, and implementation as designs move through the lifecycleAct as the bridge between the customer/stakeholder and the delivery team during the build/QA part of the lifecycleCollaborate with customers and stakeholders, understanding their needs and representing those user/customer needs to the delivery teamCreate and communicate the product vision to the delivery teamProvide regular communication and early visibility of software to the customer to keep them engagedAwareness and compliance of ISO9001, ISO27001, ISO22301Minimum Requirements: As an experienced Business Analyst, you will ideally have the following experience:
At least 3-4 years experience as a Business AnalystExperience of working in a telco/telecoms or managed service environmentUnderstanding of software design: databases, user interfaces, APIs, batch functionality, architectureAbility to quickly learn new information about IT systems and business processesSoftware design (e.g., can write Functional Specifications, Interface Contracts)Experience of working in different methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile)Business process design (e.g., can produce flow diagrams in various styles)Ability to turn complex information into easy-to-understand documentsHigh proficiency in using documentation software including MS OfficeGood personal communication skillsAttention to detail and high levels of accuracyAbility to work with multiple operating systems and computer platformsExcellent Software Analysis/Development skillsExcellent understanding of CMP batch processesComprehensive understanding of product architectureProven experience testing web services using soap UILocated in Birchwood, near Warrington and easily commutable from Liverpool, Wigan, Lancashire, Cheshire, Manchester, and Merseyside.
