Education Requirements Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Energy, or Engineering.
Experience Requirements 5 – 7 years of experience in Renewable Energy development with a focus on Solar Investments. Experienced in financial modelling, commercial negotiations, and securing PPAs.
Responsibilities Project Development and Management: Identify and evaluate solar investment opportunities in East and Southern Africa. Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from feasibility studies through to commissioning.Financial Modelling and Analysis: Create and maintain advanced financial models to evaluate project feasibility and performance. Conduct risk assessments and sensitivity analyses to guide sound investment decisions. Present clear and concise financial projections to stakeholders and investors.Commercial Negotiations: Lead negotiations with off-takers, suppliers, contractors, and financiers to secure favorable outcomes. Finalize key agreements such as power purchase agreements (PPAs) and EPC contracts. Cultivate strong relationships with government entities, local communities, and industry stakeholders.Legal Structuring and Documentation: Structure and execute complex transactions in compliance with local and international legal frameworks. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to renewable energy projects. Collaborate with legal teams and external counsel to resolve regulatory and contractual issues.Regional Expertise and Outreach: Stay informed about energy market trends, regulations, and investment opportunities across East and Southern Africa. Engage with local communities, governments, and industry stakeholders to drive project approvals and align interests.
