Head of Internal Auditing Our client is looking for the expertise of a Head of Internal Auditing to join their team.

Department : Finance

Reports to : Board of Directors

Job summary : Conducting internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of financial controls, risk management systems, and operational processes. Assessing and ensuring the company's compliance with company policies. Providing management with accurate and timely reports on financial audit findings, including recommendations for improvement. Giving independent and objective assessments of the organisation's operations, financial statements, and internal controls. Proposing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and identifying other areas of improvement. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities Plan and execute audit engagements, including data analysis and testing. Evaluate internal control systems. Perform risk assessments and internal control evaluations and detect discrepancies. Identify and investigate potentially fraudulent activities or financial irregularities. Prepare and present audit reports to stakeholders and shareholders. Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and execute remedial actions. Stay updated with the latest industry regulations and best practices in internal auditing. All and any other related duties as expected from the employer from time to time. Desired Experience & Qualification Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certification, such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CA (Chartered Accountant). 5+ years of experience in internal auditing or related financial roles. Experience in developing and executing audit plans and evaluating internal control systems. Proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial documents and audit reports. Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). Preferred skills and qualifications : Advanced degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Experience in conducting audits in a regulated industry. Knowledge of ERP systems and experience with data analytics. Working knowledge of financial analysis techniques. Experience with data analytics and visualisation tools. Familiarity with international auditing standards. Able to work independently and give feedback regularly. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Great attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work with large data sets. Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Ability to adapt to changing regulatory environments and industry practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
