Head of Engineering - Wes-Kaap - OfferZen (Pty) Ltd Description We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead our engineering team. OfferZen is a developer jobs marketplace that connects developers with top tech companies in Africa and Europe.
The ideal candidate will have at least 12-15 years of professional experience in software development, with a minimum of 7 years in a senior leadership or executive role.
Responsibilities: Defining and implementing engineering strategy, vision, and culture at an organizational levelLeading large-scale software projects and delivering results in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentManaging multiple teams, including platform and data teams, as well as cross-functional teamsMaintaining complex, large-scale software systemsThe successful candidate will have hands-on experience with multiple backend programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or Go, and/or modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
This role requires excellent communication skills with a strong command of English, both written and verbal.
The estimated salary for this position is $250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience.
