DescriptionFull-Time, 40 Hours per weekMonday - Friday 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.Compensation: $24-26 per hour DOESummary/ObjectiveUnder general direction from the Human Resources Manager and CFO, the Financial Risk Specialist assists with managing insurance claims and other risk management initiatives. This position is responsible for the completion, filing, and auditing of company financial risk, safety, and other documents. The majority of the employee's time is spent managing insurance claims by obtaining appropriate incident documentation and communicating with affected parties; analyzing risk and incidents, and proposing changes to procedures and policies to minimize risk; performing routine data entry tasks; preparing reports in Microsoft Excel and other software; and completing and auditing company forms and documents. This position requires an extremely detail-oriented person with the ability to creatively solve problems, and an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Initiate incident reports, follow-up with employees and managers for missing and required information, and submit insurance claims with carrierMonitor insurance claim statuses, maintain frequent contact with claims adjustors and third-parties to resolve claimsPerform routine and ad-hoc data entry tasks using Microsoft Excel, DocuSign and other company softwareAudit and update employee records including sensitive and personally identifiable informationWork with HR Manager to assist with completion of company Safety Program and other safety initiativesInvestigate incidents including auto accidents, theft/loss of propertyPrepare DOT reports and visuals to present to department headsMaintain FMCSA records and fleet maintenanceOther duties as assigned.About Our CompanyHolbrook Asphalt Co. is an industry leader in the preservation of pavement assets.
