The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers. In this role, the FP&A Manager supports the Financial Controller in financial reporting, analysis, projections and internal controls, as well as the management of P&L forecasting and actuals reporting. This role works out of our offices in Roodepoort What you'll do: Financial Reporting & Analysis:Ensure monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting completed accurately. Meet all financial reporting requirements within agreed upon timelines. Manage month end reporting process and day to day finance operations. Journal reviews and approvals together with reviews of general ledger. Ensure provision of accounting services including transaction processing, general accounting and reporting.Provide timely, accurate and insightful analysis which provides senior management necessary information with which to address variances and develop corrective actions.Review and analysis of monthly financial results with sound commentary and justifications to ensure compliance with accounting principles. Approve PO's and ensure suppliers accounts are paid timely. Manage costs through the procurement process to drive profitability. Financial Planning & Forecasting: Develop financial plans/forecasts (including annual plans, LBE's, etc) that are accurate, well written and professionally presented for senior management review, and properly supported and gaited. Prepare and present business review presentations that meet timing and quality of presentation requirements, facilitating management review and decision making.Prepare summary reports, variance analyses and commentary.Achieve financial commitments including Plans, and LBE's for both full year and quarterly periods while preventing surprises through financial planning excellence and staying close to the business.Balance Sheet and Cash Flow:General:Responsible for adherence to Abbott accounting policies and procedures (CFMs). Ensure the effective application of the company's financial control framework to business finances, including risk assessment, performing key control activities, training and testing of controls where applicable.Provide financial support and fully support achievement of financial plans, goals and objectives.Manage internal and external auditors leading to positive reports.Responsible for management, training of junior staff creating capable and competent finance teamProvide financial counsel and oversight, alliances and other strategic programs, including ad hoc analysis and decision support to all functions as needed.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE Professional Finance Qualification CA (SA) or CIMAMinimum 5 years' experience in financial management role having been responsible for FP&AMinimum 2 years management experienceMultinational healthcare industry experienceExperienced user of TM1, Hyperion HFM, SAPExcellent working knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is required.Must have a valid driver's license and vehicleApply Now Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
