Financial Manager

Punch Innovation is a Premium Promotional Marketing Products company based in Stellenbosch.
We at Punch are looking for a Financial Manager to join our team with the possibility of the position of growing into a General Manager role. The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations and processing as well as basic business secretarial functions. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal and business management skills with a strong business acumen to assist in growing the business further.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
SAGE Evolution / SAGE Payroll Accounting Software

Key Responsibilities:

Full Creditors Function
Debtors function (invoicing)
General Journals (Salary, Revenue, Depreciation, Accruals and Provisions, Cost of Sales)
Sound knowledge of VAT processing and the implications thereof
Management Accounts to be completed on monthly basis
Responsible for daily payments
Cash and credit controls
Preparation for the external audit file to be reviewed by the CEO before external audit commences
Balance Sheet Recons
VAT recons
Assisting the CEO with any queries related to the Finance department
Assist CEO with the annual budget processes
Assisting with cashflow forecasting
Responsible for payroll function
EMP 201 and EMP 501 submissions and reconciliations
Responsible for all secretarial aspects of the company
Xero/Sage One processing of all transactions (bills/invoices/journals etc)
Petty cash
BOP forms, Recons and Payments

The role requires the candidate to work fairly independently under the management of the CEO, so a candidate with a strong sense of self-discipline is crucial.
Salary dependent on experience and qualification; experience in the Marketing Promotional Industry will be preferred and beneficial.
