Financial Manager

The Role We are looking for a Financial Manager that will analyse every day financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to management on future financial plans. In this role you will also manage a small team of accountants.

The goal is to enable the company's leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company's objectives.

Responsibilities Owning the Group's accounting and tax, which includes the preparation and submitting of tax returns. Manage accounting team. You will be responsible for performance reviews, salary input and providing coaching and development feedback to those reporting to you. Review journals and monthly recons Oversee preparation of Management accounts. Payroll review and approval Drive best practices and process optimization in accounting and internal controls. Optimization of monthly reporting Consolidation of SA and International groups Compile AFS and be main contact for financial audit. Oversee debtors and creditors management. Insurance management Preparation of the Accounting budget Accounting system integration Skills and Experience Successful candidates for this role will generally possess the following qualifications and skills:

BCom Degree or Equivalent Strong finance-based analytical skills 7+ years of accounting experience Demonstrated ability to lead a small team Technically astute on accounting and tax developments Xero experience preferable Proven track record of process optimization Software/tech industry/SaaS experience preferable Personality Attributes High energy, dynamic and driven with the ability to work in a high growth environment A self-starter who shows initiative and can work independently to solve problems High attention to detail Results focused individual Ability to take on a lot of responsibility and complexity
