Responsibility for managing the Balance Sheet, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Ongoing pursuit to improve policies, procedures and controls, as well as support ad-hoc projects and requests as and when they arise. The organization is a fast-growing and ever-changing entity looking for a Financial Manager who has a strong understanding of systems that empower the business, a willingness to be hands-on when required, has an analytical mind, attention to detail; as well as proven skills in Financial Management. The position will suit an effective leader who values their Finance Team and enhances the overall Management Team dynamics and relationships. The job is based on-site and would report into the CFO. Main responsibilities of the job are to control and manage the overall financial functions of the organization as well as giving timely and accurate reports to management. Timely and Accurate Reporting, Analysis, and Interpretation Preparation of all financial Monthly Reporting Packs Reviewing Account allocations Compilation of weekly flash report Authorisation of month-end adjustments Balance Sheet Reconciliation review Fixed Asset Register Management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Teams Finance Compliance Annual & Interim Audit Co-ordination Reviewing of VAT reports and submission of VAT returns Submission of Employees' Taxes CIPC Compliance Annual and provisional tax computations review and submission of all types of tax returns SARS Compliance Financial reporting system maintenance and development Oversee the maintenance and efficiency of the Syspro ERP system to ensure a strong system-driven control environment and optimal utilization from a planning and reporting point of view Adequate Business Insurance Compilation of insurance data for review including other insurance related issues including queries around claims and renewal related matters Budget Process Compile annual budgets Co-ordinate budget process with the functional areas of the business Business Process Compliance and Internal Audit Assist with review of business processes Review, define, design and implement financial controls Treasury Functions Review and authorise payments Manage daily and monthly cash flow People Management Management, coaching, mentoring and hands-on assisting when needed of the finance team KEY CHALLENGES FACED IN THE JOB External challenges: Exciting work environment, Managing SARS, Banks, Auditors, adherence to deadlines, managing escalating costs. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years experience as an FM within a Manufacturing / FMCG environment with extensive & solid financial accounting experience.
