Financial Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a BCom / BCom Articles and 7 years working experience at least 5 of them as a Financial Manager to join my client in the Fintech space who operates fully remotely. The goal is to enable the company's leaders to make sound business decisions to meet the company's objectives. To apply for this role, you must be available immediately to commence and be based in Cape Town. Responsibilities: Owning the Group's accounting and tax, which includes the preparation and submitting of tax returns Manage accounting team. You will be responsible for performance reviews, salary input and providing coaching and development feedback to those reporting to you Review journals and monthly recons Oversee preparation of Management accounts Payroll review and approval Drive best practices and process optimization in accounting and internal controls Optimization of monthly reporting Consolidation of SA and International groups Compile AFS and be main contact for financial audit Oversee debtors and creditors management Insurance management Preparation of the Accounting budget Accounting system integration Requirements: BCom Degree or Equivalent (AGA(SA)) Strong finance-based analytical skills 7 years of accounting experience Demonstrated ability to lead a small team Technically astute on accounting and tax developments Xero experience preferable Software/tech industry/SaaS experience preferable Available immediately If you have not heard from us 2 weeks from application, please consider yourself unsuccessful - please do continue to follow us online and apply for suitable roles.
