Job & Company DescriptionsAn exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Financial Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced team in Gezina on a permanent basis. This role will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring efficient financial management, and providing critical insights to support business strategy and profitability. You will report directly to the Group CFO and be instrumental in managing both financial performance and operational efficiency. Duties:Ensure accurate accounting records for monthly and annual financial reporting.Maintain compliant financial records for the annual audit and external reporting.Prepare and submit timely monthly management accounts by the last working day before the 10th of each month.Oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals and strategic objectives.Ensure the regular maintenance of revenue, monitoring fluctuations and contributing to the company's financial health.Conduct expense and profitability analysis, providing reports to senior management for strategic decision-making.Allocate overhead costs, perform activity-based costing, and conduct break-even analysis to optimize cost control.Utilize investment appraisal techniques (NPV, IRR, Payback Period) to evaluate potential capital expenditures and business ventures.Manage cash flow planning and monitoring, ensuring adequate liquidity and managing debt collection procedures.Ensure the compliance of debtor control procedures, including risk assessments, credit checks, and insurance.Review purchase EFTs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.Provide advice on asset control, ensuring proper management and depreciation of company assets.Support lease versus buy decisions for major assets and investments.Assist with the development and execution of long-term strategic plans (5-10 years).Lead tender pricing processes, collaborating with operations and other teams for accurate and competitive pricing.Evaluate contract pricing and tender negotiations, ensuring profitability and compliance.Provide tax-related support to consultants, assisting with statutory submissions and queries.Undertake ad-hoc financial tasks as required by the Group CFO and senior management. Qualifications & skills:CA(SA) or CIMA qualified.3+ years of financial management experience with proven expertise in overseeing financial operations and delivering strategic financial insights.Experience in financial management within a distribution, logistics, or warehousing environment.
