An FMCG company, located in the northern part of Johannesburg, is seeking an immediately available Financial Manager to join their finance team. As a Financial Manager you will responsible for the following: Financial Reporting: Generate management reports by analyzing and consolidating financial results (P&L) on a regular basis. Conduct cost and trend analyses, presenting findings to executives and business unit leaders. Prepare and consolidate PowerPoint presentations with financial data and variance commentary. Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities with the finance team. Ensure timely and accurate financial information is accessible to business units and executives. Review and submit monthly business reports and profit estimates. Manage working capital, cash resources, and operational expenditure. Prepare annual financial statements and VAT returns. Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations and assist with audit inquiries. Financial Planning: Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Review expenditures against budgets, partnering with unit leaders to recommend efficiencies. Update financial forecasts based on the latest estimates, highlighting risks and opportunities. Provide strategic guidance for budgeting. Financial Analysis: Analyze variances and develop commentary on performance deviations from budget targets. Monitor profitability through various analyses of actual vs. budget and forecast. Identify and track risks and opportunities related to budgets and forecasts. Business Partnering: Collaborate with business unit leaders to align financial performance with organizational goals. Conduct ad hoc analyses and prepare financial information as needed. Support ad hoc projects with financial analysis and modeling. Manage stakeholder relationships and coordinate external audits. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and address operational issues. Risk and Internal Controls: Monitor compliance with relevant laws and reporting regulations. Oversee internal and external audits, managing findings and implementing controls. Develop policies to mitigate financial fraud and protect assets. Build and maintain strong customer relationships. Leadership: Manage and develop a team of seven, using a coaching and mentoring approach. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Job Experience and Skills Required: Completed BCom in Finance or completed CIMA Minimum of 3 -5 years experience in a similar position FMCG or Retail industry experience is preferred If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
