Are you someone who can: Prepare and report on the Insurance Pillar operations and financial conditions monthly – this includes preparing the flash and CEO reports. Gain exposure to the budget process and prepare the Insurance Pillar budget presentation. Prepare the annual financial statement analysis booklet for the insurance entities within the Group. Prepare the financial statements for the insurance entities – this involves updating memorandums for audit, following up with different finance teams on the AFS workings, liaising with Internal and External auditors when required. Utilize Essbase and HFM to source financial information for recording and analysis. Approve invoices. Partner with stakeholders in the provision of financial insights and guidance into the operational and general. Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback, and request training where appropriate. Participate and contribute to a development culture where information regarding successes, issues, trends, and ideas are actively shared. Present monthly to stakeholders. Handle adhoc finance requests. You will be an ideal candidate if you have: Strong technical skills with attention to detail, especially regarding IFRS. CA(SA) is non-negotiable. 1-2 or more years of experience in a similar environment. Exposure to the Life insurance sector is advantageous. Understanding or exposure to IFRS17 is highly advantageous. Essbase working experience is advantageous. HFM working experience is advantageous. Confidence to give specialized advice on technical matters.
