Financial Manager

The purpose of this role will be to take responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and running the finance activities for the division.This position will report directly to the Managing Director of the division, and indirectly to the Group Financial Manager.Duties include, but are not limited to:Manage and mentor staffFinancial reporting and management accountsAssist with preparation of Board ReportsManagement and safeguarding of company assetsTrack financial performance and identify areas for improvementMinimise financial riskApproval of transactions and release paymentsCash and working capital managementAssist with stock management, oversee stock takes and assist with reconciling variancesReview creditors reconsAuthorise monthly payrollAssist HR with BEE and Health and Safety compliancePrepare annual budgetsProvisional and IFRS calculationsAssist with Internal and External AuditsParticipate in union negotiationsEducation:Minimum BCom Honours Degree requiredQualified CA(SA) preferredJob Experience & Skills Required:5 to 6 years post-articles experience in a full function group finance role essentialManufacturing industry experience essentialExperience with cost control and financial analysis essentialKnowledge of stock and inventory processes and principlesStrong people management skills essentialStrong analytical skillsStrong organizational skillsStrong presentation and communication skillsStrong business partnering and reporting skillsBusiness and financial acumenMeticulous attention to detailAPPLY NOW!
