Our client is seeking a strategic leader for the role of Finance Manager.
This pivotal position will oversee the financial health and sustainability of the organisation, requiring expertise in financial planning, analysis, and budgeting.
The successful candidate will guide financial decision-making in alignment with corporate goals, manage financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, mitigate financial risks, and deliver insights that drive long-term growth.What you'll do:Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting cycles, and long-term financial planning.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other regulatory standards.Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team, providing data-driven recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to protect the company's financial assets.Establish and maintain robust financial strategies and procedures.Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting.Drive continuous improvement in finance operations, technology utilisation, and resource management.Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity.Manage and coordinate internal and external audit activities.What you bring:Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field; Master's degree or professional certifications preferred.Minimum 7 years of experience in financial management.Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.Strong understanding of corporate finance, investment principles, and financial risk management.Proficient in financial management systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office.Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, South African Income Tax Act, VAT regulations.Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex financial data.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.What sets this company apart:Our client is a dynamic organisation that values the contribution of its employees.
