Financial Manager

Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements by South African Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Coordinate the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management for decision-making purposes.Budgeting and Forecasting:Develop and manage the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis reports to identify areas of concern or improvement.Prepare long-term financial forecasts to support strategic planning initiatives.Financial Compliance:Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate income tax.Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and implement necessary updates to ensure compliance.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to implement and maintain effective internal controls.Cash Flow Management:Monitor cash flow projections and manage cash balances to optimize liquidity.Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to minimize outstanding balances and optimize working capital.Financial Strategy:Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management to support business growth and expansion initiatives.Evaluate investment opportunities and conduct financial analysis to assess their viability and potential return on investment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Requirements:CA (SA) qualification - not negotiableMinimum of 3 years of experience in a Financial Manager role.Strong knowledge of South African GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Only SA Citizens will be consideredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Proven leadership and team management skills.
