Financial Manager

My client in the manufacturing industry seeks a detail-oriented operational Financial Manager proficient. The ideal individual will implement and maintain financial systems, ensure ethical practices, and have strong analytical skills. Experience in managing staff and multi-entry accounting is essential for this role. Someone who enjoyed getting their hands dirty as well as have the aptitude to present to the board on a senior level, will be the perfect fit. Responsibilities:Prepare and present management accountsPerform analysis of accounts and dataDevelop and maintain efficient and effective accounting and internal control systemsLiaise with various departments to prepare budgetCollate and review of budget presentation to executiveManage bank accounts and cash managementOversee bank accounts, balances and controlsOversee and authorise daily paymentsResponsible for preparation and payment of all taxesOversee calculation, submission of returns and payment of VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, Income Tax, Dividends Tax and any other such tax that may need to be paidMonitor tax changes and evaluate for any required action related to payrollAttend to salary bureau on time to ensure salaries paid on timePrepare salary journal monthlyAssist HR to prepare quarterly employment statistics returnPrepare monthly payment request for total payrollsMaintain records of car allowancesManage pension and medical aidAttend to payments for pension and disability by 7th of each monthReview all claims and follow up on settlements and allocate correctlyMaintain a log of and allocate numbers of approved requestsSign contracts and ensure creditors clerk implements diary paymentsComplete statistical returns or liaise regarding completion as requiredObtain annual COIDA declarations, returns, checking assessments and authorize paymentRequirements:CA(SA)/CIMA/Professional Qualification5 - 10 years of experience in a senior accountant positionExperience in supervising a team of employeesPlease note if you have not heard from us in 2 weeks from application, please consider yourself unsuccessful - please do continue to follow us online and apply for suitable roles.
