Financial Manager

Key Performance Areas

Establish and maintain processes to ensure that all revenue, costs, assets, and liabilities are captured accurately and in the appropriate accounting period.
Ensure GL setup is accurate and aligned to Group guidelines.
Ensure accurate processing of transactions in ERP system (Navision) through regular TB reviews.
Approve monthly management journals, depreciation, and recoveries before processing to ERP system (Navision).
Scrutinize and reconcile the general ledger, sub-ledgers, fixed asset register, balance sheet schedules and related records to ensure integrity of financial information.
Drive process improvement and efficiencies.
Ensure timely production of accurate management reports and variance analysis for the business (including, but not limited to, income statements, balance sheets, working capital, headcount and other operational KPI's).
Compile the annual budget in conjunction with the Terminal / Business manager.
Develop the overhead budget for the business.
Ensure an accurate monthly forecasting process for the business.
Liaise with the Management team (across all functions) to ensure the accuracy of income statements and balance sheets for the remainder of the financial year.
Assist in the delivery of the direct and indirect cost budget through the identification of efficiencies.
Identify and drive delivery of cost saving opportunities as well as inventory reduction initiatives.
Manage receivables, inventory, and FA verification.
Manage capex requests, forecasting capex spend and the timely capturing of assets in the TB.
Build and maintain credible relationships with stakeholders / financial institutions.
Manage all external finance facilities in the most efficient way possible.
Ensure that all loan schedules are up to date and accurate.
Manage and forecast the cash flow for the business on a weekly and monthly basis.
Authorize payments to subsidiaries, and borrowers based on approved documentation.
