What will you do?
Job purpose
The Financial Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing strategic projects, and providing analysis from a finance perspective.
Key outcomes
The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the Financial Manager:

Analyse, prioritise and implement finance processes
Streamline and redefine current finance processes
Effective creation of efficiencies within control environment
Assist with management of financial aspects of strategic projects
Coordinate with project teams to provide financial insights and support
Collaborate with senior management to implement financial strategies
Support the development of long-term financial plans and business models
Assist with reporting to actuarial teams
Glacier divisional and product reporting to stakeholders
Involvement in the budget and cost centre reporting process
Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders
Compiling and collating information for valuations and RoGEV
Liaise with auditors (internal and external) and regulatory bodies as required
Ad hoc financial tasks

Qualifications and experience

CA(SA) with 3 years post articles experience, or
BCom (Acc) with 5 years' experience in a similar role,
Articles completed in financial services will be advantageous
Technical & business knowledge within the financial services industry
Computer Skills (MS Word, MS Excel, SAP Financials, Easyfile)

What will make you successful in this role?
Qualification and Experience
Degree with 6 to 8 years related experience.
Knowledge and Skills

Prepares and submits tax returns
Tax research and advice and computes tax
Complies with Tax Regulatory requirements and represent company at SARS
Organise and maintains tax records
Management and coaching of employees
