STC-Southern Africa is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Manager who is not only proficient in financial management, but also up to date with the latest BBBEE and CIPC.
The Financial Manager will be responsible for, and report to the Directors with respect to the planning, implementation and management of all the financial activities of STC-Southern Africa.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Leadership, Direction & Management
• Provide leadership, direction, and management of the finance team
• Form part of the Management Team to contribute financial and operational expertise in the further development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and procedures
• Responsible for reviewing and implementing financial systems, internal controls and procedures
• Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets
• Provide monthly financial reports and information to ensure sound financial governance
• Planning and managing external audits (B-BBEE and Financial)
• Develop & implement effective work processes, procedures and controls
• Maintenance of statutory company documents
• Maintenance of SARS compliances requirements
Strategic
• Provide strategic recommendations to the Directors
• Improve operational systems, processes, policies and procedures
• Develop financial goals and objectives for the finance team
• Prepare annual budget
Reporting
• Ensure timeous delivery of financial management accounts reports
• Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting
• Ensure workflows are correct and always updated by all team members
• Ensure all the financial department deliverables are met on time
• Monitor the actual use of financial resources against the approved budget
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
Experience And Knowledge
• Proven experience in managing a finance team
• Solid knowledge of financial processes, systems and statutory laws
• 5 years post article experience
