Key tasks include, but not limited to: Financial Reporting: Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with [GAAP/IFRS/Local Standards].
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting, including P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and equity statements.
Manage the consolidation of financial statements for multi-entity organisations.
Support the preparation of management and board-level financial reports.
Compliance & Regulatory Filings: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
Coordinate with external accountants across the globe, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial data.
Manage the preparation and submission of statutory financial reports and tax filings.
Financial Controls & Process Improvement: Implement and maintain financial reporting controls and procedures to ensure data integrity.
Continuously assess reporting processes for improvement opportunities and increased efficiency.
Lead initiatives to automate and enhance reporting systems.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting process by providing accurate financial data and insights.
Collaborate with the FP&A team to develop and track financial forecasts.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure accurate data flow and alignment of financial information.
Provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making by senior management.
Requirements Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (SAICA, SAIPA or similar qualification preferred).
Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.
Experience with financial consolidation and multi-entity reporting.
Proficiency in financial management software is a plus (Xero).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Experience working with external auditors and managing external processes.
