Financial Manager

An opportunity for a Financial Manager to assist the Head of Finance with accounting operations is available in Cape Town, Southern Suburbs. You will be responsible for producing financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and managing controls and budgets to mitigate risk. This role ensures accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP or IFRS. You will have excellent management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with strong analytical abilities and attention to detail. You will excel in team leadership, be self-motivated, and possess high computer literacy, especially in Excel and ERP systems. Responsibilities: Assist in overseeing the operations of the accounting departmentProvide leadership and mentoring to all staff in the finance departmentManage and ensure that all production processes and procedures are followedDevelop and drive continuous improvementAssist in the management of various financial accounting functionsReview and submit weekly and monthly resultsReview and submit monthly management accountsPrepare quarterly board packsBudgeting and forecastingMonitor and interpret cash flows and predicting future trendsFacilitate the half-year and year-end audit processLiaise with external and internal auditorsManage Governance and ComplianceOversee performance management of finance staff, including setting of KPI'sManage finance related systems and internal controlsAssist with the management of networking capital and forex exposureProvisional and income tax computationEnsure tax and legal ComplianceRequirements: Qualified Chartered Accountant/CIMA or equivalentMinimum of 7-10 years relevant experience within a similar roleStrong MS Office and MS Excel skillsKnowledge of Syspro will be advantageousExperience within the FMCG environment would be advantageousPlease note if you have not heard from us in 2 weeks from application, please consider yourself unsuccessful - please do continue to follow us online and apply for suitable roles.
