Financial Manager/Controller

RS Recruitment is assisting a STEEL TRADING COMPANY based in WESTMEAD DURBAN to recruit a FINANCIAL MANAGER, approximately R40 000, including benefits (medical aid and provident fund). OUR CLIENT, A SUBSIDIARY OF A JSE-LISTED GROUP, IS ONE OF THE LARGEST STEEL TRADERS IN SOUTH AFRICA, WITH BRANCHES IN MOST MAJOR CENTRES. Applicants should have/be the following:A minimum of about 5 years working experience in a similar role.A relevant qualification.Experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience leading a finance team.Experience with Sage Pastel Evolution 300 or similar. Key performance areas:Budget preparation.Provide and interpret financial reports and make business recommendations.Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.Reconciling all balance sheet and income statement accounts.Preparing year-end books for audit.Management of cash, receivables and inventory.
