Key Responsibilities As the Financial Manager, you will: Oversee Financial Operations : Lead the Accounts Department and ensure seamless financial processes.
Perform Financial Analysis & Reporting : Deliver actionable insights to improve company performance.
Cashflow Management : Prepare and review monthly and six-month projections.
Approve subcontractor payments, creditor reconciliations, and other disbursements.
Invoicing & Debt Management : Issue invoices to clients and manage debtor accounts to closure.
Prepare Management Accounts : Handle critical calculations, including depreciation, FEM, retentions, turnover, and Work in Progress.
Salary Administration : Collaborate with HR to process and pay salaries.
Manage payroll systems (PAYE, UIF, pensions, medical aid) and ensure accurate ledger entries.
Facilitate Meetings : Participate in monthly Profit & Loss meetings at the Head Office.
Tax & Compliance : Address PAYE and BIBC queries.
Submit tax returns and manage SARS administration.
Audit Preparation : Support financial, BEE, wage, and turnover audits.
Assist with Work-Place Skills and Employment Equity returns.
Annual Returns : Ensure CIPC and other statutory submissions are completed.
System Oversight : Approve creditor requisitions and direct invoices on Trendlight Package.
Review and approve journal entries.
Ensure accurate cashbook processing.
Requirements Qualifications & Skills Experience : Minimum of 8-10 years of proven financial management experience in a permanent role.
Certification : CA(SA) status preferred.
Must be registered with one of the following: South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) Competencies : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with construction-specific financial processes is a plus.
