Finance Manager
As Finance Managers, you will be responsible for advising the company and organization on how to increase profit through prudent financial practices and monitoring and enforcing compliance with finance-related laws, procedures, and regulations such as tax filing and financial reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analysing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company.
Oversee the operations and development of the company's finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
Advise colleagues and executive management on decisions related to the company's finances.
Supervise the documentation of the company's financial status and forecasts.
Mediate between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders and investors on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences.
Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company's status and financial forecasts.

Education:
Matric (Non-Negotiable) Average 65% and higher on Maths.
Preferred Honours Degree holders / Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business studies or a related field (e.g., B.Com with Honours and completed articles). Preference will be given to applicants who qualified before or during 2012.
Qualified as CA (SA) (Non-Negotiable).
Level 3 Tax Compliance: experience as tax compliance specialists.
Level 4 Financial Accounting experience: more complex accounting tasks, such as maintaining cost accounting records and the preparation of reports and returns.
Professional registration with SAICA is a non-negotiable.
Minimum 10 years appropriate management experience in a Manufacturing or operations environment (Non-Financial institutions).
Demonstrates understanding of all facets of business operations and interactions, a sound working knowledge of financial management, numeracy, and attention to detail.
Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
Strong understanding and application of SA income tax, VAT, and other tax legislations.
High level computer literacy (including MS Office / Excel).
Working experience in a financial environment; knowledge of online computer applications (JDE).
Demonstrates ability to prioritise and plan work, handle a diversity of tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines consistently, manage projects and cope under pressure.
The ideal candidate has also experience collaborating and/or managing a team of Accountants and Junior Accountants.
Demonstrates commitment to teamwork, service, integrity, and confidentiality.
Decisive and assertive with capability to build/maintain professional relationships.
Sound working knowledge of accounting practices coupled with ability to write advanced macros and produce high level spreadsheets and financial modelling.
