Financial Manager CA (SA) – Driving evolution!A local, high-growth, dynamic and energetic manufacturer and supplier of stationery and books is looking for a highly experienced Financial Manager CA (SA) to join the team.Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Manager will be responsible and accountable for the management of all accounting and financial activities of the Company. A can-do attitude is a must, along with the ability to learn quickly, and adapt to a demanding and changing work environment.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and liaise with the auditorsManage submission of annual tax returns, monthly VAT returns, and all related tax complianceRun external and internal auditsOversee BEE reporting and complianceAssist with weekly cashflow and profit forecastAssist with monthly review of management accountsOversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure effective internal controlsAssist with monthly preparation of exco packs and trial balance submission to Group FinanceAssist with preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecastEnsure internal controls are adhered toAssist with monthly processes and ensure that month end deadlines are reached timeouslyParticipate in the strategic management of the CompanyPrepare monthly financial reporting packs to holding companyPrepare monthly exco pack (including management accounts) ahead of exco meetingsPrepare annual budget, quarterly forecasts, weekly profit forecast, and cash forecastsProvide related commercial reportingEffectively manage working capitalProvide a high standard of financial controls and strong directional financial leadershipEnsure adherence to holding company reporting standards and policiesDevelop & maintain effective relationships and communication with subordinates, sales staff, group finance, and executive managementDesired Experience & QualificationRequirements:South African with a valid South African IDCompleted MatricOwn reliable transport with valid driver's licenseMust currently be residing in JohannesburgExperience with Accounting Software PackagesWell versed in Microsoft Packages specifically MS ExcelTechnically sound in tax and IFRSAbility to communicate well and help manage the finance teamImporting and distribution experience will be highly beneficialGood understanding of written and verbal communicationAbility to work independently and responsibly without supervisionMust be a self-starterAbility to work in a self-driven, complex environment with multiple and changing prioritiesAbility to focus on deadlines and deliverablesExpertise in financial planning & control preferably with import and distribution exposureThe Position: Office based permanent position situated in Germiston.
