Responsibilities: Supervise and manage project bookkeeping, cashbook processing and journalsPrepare bank reconciliations and reviewsProvide oversight and compliance on project debit cards, staff debtors and expense claimsProvide financial management support to programme directorsReview and release electronic payments and transfersEnsure completeness and accuracy of the fixed asset registerOverall responsibility of the financial management / trial balance as allocatedEnsure accurate accounting for VATResponsible for the preparation and execution of all funds related auditsAssists with preparation and execution of statutory auditsEnsure adequate cash-flow managementEnsure loan account and inter account transfers are doneEnsure all monthly expense claims and financial reporting are prepared and submittedEnsure that all reports are reconciled to the underlying financial systemEnsure high level plans are communicated and assigned to the teamEngage in the performance review processRequirements: CA (SA) qualificationAt least 2 years post articles experienceA minimum of 3 years' experience in finance, accounting, budgeting and management; or equivalent combination of education and experiencePEPFAR audit experience will be a great advantageAbility to work with and create financial modelling tools within Microsoft Excel (advanced)Please note if you have not heard from us in 2 weeks from application, please consider yourself unsuccessful - please do continue to follow us online and apply for suitable roles.
