Based in Helderberg: Investment Company offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic teamBe part of a diverse organization with plenty of room to grow. This role falls within our offshore divisionCommercial Property in UK, Europe & AustraliaOld age care portfolio in UKAgriculture & dairy farms in Austraila This position will lead and oversee the financial operations of the organization, providing strategic guidance and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. Responsibilities include: Responsibilities will include the following:Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives.Prepare and oversee budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to senior management to aid in decision-making.Ensure the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, reports, and schedules in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.Supervise and mentor the Senior Accountant, providing guidance and support on complex accounting issues.Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent discrepancies and safeguard assets.Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.Ensure accurate and timely completion of audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance financial operations.Streamline financial processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.  Candidate RequirementsChartered Accountant (CA) designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is requiredMinimum of 6 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing senior-level staff.Strong proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Advanced knowledge of accounting software and financial systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.In-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team.Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions based on financial data.High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of financial management.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
