Financial Director

Job Title: Financial ManagerAs a key member of the Assegai team, the Financial Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the company's financial systems and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
Key Responsibilities:Manage the financial team, including direct and indirect reports, to ensure seamless financial operations.Prepare and present contract schedule reports to the directors, including contract provisions.Oversee banking and treasury functions, including facility reviews and online banking system management.Ensure tax compliance, including PAYE, VAT, and income tax, and handle tax submissions and SARS interactions.Manage payroll, including monthly reviews, IRP5s, EMP501s, and tax directives.Handle staff records, leave management, and ad hoc staff issues.Liaise with auditors and attend to annual audits and statutory requirements.Assist with BEE annual audit financial matters and liaise with auditors as required.Oversee the drafting of financial statements and monthly management accounts.Provide legal advice and support, including credit applications, credit bureaus, and contract drafting.Offer IT support and input as needed.Support the directors on legal, business, valuation, and other matters as required.
