A high-profile retailer of unique and luxury products seeks a CA(SA) as their Financial Director.
The company seeks an experienced, hands-on CA(SA) who will be accountable for the complete financial functions across the Group which includes corporate and physical entities in South Africa, the UK and USA.
The FD will manage a small, experienced finance department and ensure the finance business vertical is run efficiently. The position includes but is not limited to:
Overseeing preparation of timely, consolidated, monthly management accounts and weekly cash flow reports, investments, insurance, budgeting and financial reporting across the various jurisdictions.Driving the company's financial strategyResponsibility for adherence to tax regulations in all the Group's jurisdictions (including VAT, custom duties, state, and company taxes).Regularly updating the annual budget to create a reliable financial forecast.Integration of the rolling forecast into a weekly cash flow forecast.Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyse internal operations, identify areas of cost reduction and process enhancement.Monitor company performance with tracking, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting for the EXCO and management teamHave oversight of, and provide approvals for, company expenditure globally ensuring strict financial procedures and disciplines to ensure costs are managed appropriately and to budget.Coordinate the development of the annual operating and capital budgets and reporting against the same.Ensure cash flow is compatible with company operations, by overseeing the day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities of the organization.Candidate must be confident and results driven with strong communication skills and be able to liaise effectively at Board level.
