This incumbent is responsible for management and development of the finance function, ensuring that the long term strategic planning, cash management, budgeting and financing of the business contribute to the overall strategy for the organisation.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.Proficiency in SAP.Strong analytical skills.Proven experience within industrial environment at a senior level.Experience of formulating and implementing business strategy.Essential technical knowledge of Company law, Pension Regulations and Accounting Standards IFRS.SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Deputising for the Managing Director where appropriate.Mentoring, directing, motivating, supervising, and monitoring all members of the allocated team to ensure high performance levels are attained.Plan, develop and implement finance strategy ensuring that it meets overall corporate needs and departmental KPIs.Contributing to the development of the mid-range plan with responsibility for the establishment of annual budgets and objectives.Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation, dividends, annual report and accounts.Provision of input into global finance plans and strategy.Overall responsibility for all finance functions (purchase ledger, treasury, management accounts, credit control etc.), ensuring that internal controls and corporate guidelines are adhered to.Preparation of data for the management team in respect of annual wage negotiations, including provision of benchmarking information and assessment of shop steward proposals.Overall responsibility for Capex Management, attending steering group meetings for high value purchases.Actively participating in Management meetings, Annual Target Setting meeting, SZA Platform meetings, Performance meetings, monthly meetings with the regional management and other relevant executive meetings.Managing important relationships with banks, pension administrators, external accountants, auditors, insurance providers etc.Providing general finance advice, and information and support to line managers/employees with the organisation.Assisting the Managing Director and Operations Director in strategic long term and rolling three-year business planning.Overseeing internal and external legal and financial audits.Implementing improvement measures of NWC management with appropriate stakeholders through target setting for AR, WIP, Inventory and AP.Ensuring effective credit management procedures and policies are maintained.Managing company owned and leased land and properties.Commercial Management of high value contracts and standard business terms and conditions.Individual KPIsOperating Net Cash FlowEBITCOMPETENCIES & SKILLS Drive for resultsGetting work done through othersDeveloping self and othersManaging purpose and motivating othersEnsuring accountability and integrityStrategic agility and global mindsetDealing with ambiguity and decision making
