Job Summary Performing examination and adjudication of adverse media alerts of customers through the continuous monitoring and real-time screening process in compliance with ABSA Anti Money Laundering policies. Job Description Stakeholder Relationship Management: Continued pro-active stakeholder engagement and involvement on a business, regulator and industry level. Business Enablement: Ensure commercially sound Compliance guidance and support in respect of allocated regulatory requirements in a professional and helpful manner, always considering the potential alternatives within the rules and regulations applicable, endeavouring to find solutions to ensure compliance as well as the continuation of business. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma: Business, Commerce, Management Studies and or Law 1 – 2 years' working experience in Customer Due Diligence / Know Your Customer environment, with knowledge in AML regulations and Financial Crime processes Knowledge & Skills: Sound knowledge of Customer Due Diligence Standards and FICA regulatory requirements. Strong IT literacy with good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Competencies & Personal Skills: Excellent investigatory and decision-making skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders Ability to identify areas of improvement and provide potential solutions Flexibility and adaptability to change Ability to work under pressure Ability to proactively identify risks Education: Higher Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required) Absa Bank Limited is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
