Financial Coordinator – Fruit Industry – Stellenbosch

Job Summary
The Financial Coordinator is a key role within the Finance function of the company. The responsibility of the Financial Coordinator is to assist the Financial Accountant with the accurate and timeous reporting of the overhead costs of the different companies in the Group as well as the statutory responsibilities relating to Cash.

Education: Relevant qualification
Experience: Beneficial to have financial work experience but not required

Job Requirements

Ability to work to tight deadlines every week.
Ability to communicate effectively with all internal teams as well as external service providers.
Applicant must be computer literate and be able to communicate effectively via email and telephone.
Need to be fluent in Afrikaans and English.
Key understanding of the statutory requirements and relevant accounting experience.

Key Functions and Expected Performance

Overhead Costs – Monitoring and coding of actual invoices into Rubicon.
Logistical Costs – Monitoring and coding of actual logistical invoices into Rubicon and Dipar (Printing, Coding & Posting). Clearing of all Incoming Forex payments.
Grower Recharges relating to logistic costs.
Month End payments & Adhoc weekly payments – Preparation. Ensure Bank reconciliations/allocations are performed and meet the monthly deadlines.
Ensure Credit/Petrol and Balance Sheet recons are performed and accurate.
Reporting on Cell phone costs and helping to ensure the policy is applied.
Fines Management – Avis and Company Cars. Allocation of all fruit and non-fruit related AP & AR accounts.
System Improvements – Flagging and raising system challenges to the Financial Manager.
