Financial Controller

We are looking for a Proactive Cost or Management Accountant with previous experience within a project accounting environment, possessing a high level of technical efficiency, JD Edwards experience, and the ability to analyze financial data to prepare financial reports, statements, and projections to take on the key role of FINANCIAL CONTROLLER. The successful candidate will report to the CFO and provide financial support on a daily basis to the various Business Units, including project costing review, cash flow, monthly reporting on project level, corporate reporting, and presenting monthly financial results to relevant Business Unit Managers.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Business units management with monthly closing, annual budget, and quarterly forecasts based on project status.Manage the various BU's P&L.Investigate balance sheet & interrogate figures to ensure accurate reporting.Review the BU's various project costings to ensure cash flow & profitability forecasts are in line with the budget.Manage the GL reporting.Review the processing of all financial entries relating to the relevant BU.Ensure all financial policies are adhered to.Maintain the financial follow-up of the cost centers in ERP.Review the processing of entries to correct accounts & cost centers.Monthly reporting.Cash flow.Risks & opportunities.Tender pricing review.Corporate reporting of the BU's and projects.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Degree or Diploma/ B. Tech in Cost Accounting or Management Accounting essential.5 years' experience preferably within a project accounting environment.Experience with relevant accounting and cost control software packages.Experience with budget management and monthly closing procedures.Extensive knowledge of JD Edwards automated financial and accounting reporting system.Ability to train users (project managers and cost controllers).
